I have been wanting to post on here more than three times a week since….well, basically ever since this blog started. But the thing is…well…
…there is time. Cooking eats away at your day, even if it is something you love.
…and, money. All this cooking isn’t cheap.
…and the waistline is always a consideration. Some nights I just eat a chicken breast or a frozen meal. It is my secret shame.
So, as an effort to keep things exciting around here I have decided to start a weekly column to supplement the recipes called “Ask Lemmonex”. I don’t claim to be an expert, just merely a person who has screwed up enough recipes to have learned a few things. Wanna know the best way to chop an onion? Ask away. The best kind of apple to make a pie? I know. What you should do with the fennel sitting in your fridge? I have a few ideas. Drop me an email or submit it in the comments and I will get to you. The last time I took requests, I was able to get most of them done…even if I didn’t make someone their milanesa a caballo.
This could be hubris on my part, but seeing as I got my first bit of hate mail yesterday, I am feeling bold. You are doing something right when someone takes the time to send you their very best. And sir in rural Pennsylvania? I want to thank you. I have spent 27 years trying to figure out who I am, what really makes me me. Your succinct assessment what I am a f’ing skank has really cleared things up for me and helped shape my sense of self.
